Re: Re: Goldiec
Absolutely! When you buy the ground nutmeg you never know what's in it exactly but with the whole nutmeg, you grate it yourself with a little nutmeg grater that's like a cheese grater. The fresh nutmeg is so fragrant and the difference is like having freshly ground coffee with which to make coffee or having to use an old can with whatever is left at the bottom. At least that's my experience.

Pat_B, thank you so much for your comment. I love warm and loving posts too. Sometimes I worry that I'm just a little on the boring side but I hope not. If I seem like that just tell me. I hope you have a great evening.

Re:
Sea Gypsy, thank you so much for the comment. I do love cookbooks. I've never used whole nutmeg. Is there a big difference between the spice and the whole nutmeg? I hope you have a good evening!

We don't need diamonds and royal balls, the so-called high society life.
A bright sunny day, beautiful flowers along the roadside, fresh grown produce from our own garden and the good companionship of loved ones is just what the doctor ordered. Loved this post - so warm - a day-brightener.

Kabu, sometimes I worry that my posts are too long. Thank you so much for the wonderful comment. I do try to be positive. I've always been like this and I really enjoy everyone here. I've learned from the people here and that is really a gift. My friend Sassy recommended this site to me and I must say she knows me well.
