I'm glad you told a little lie and chose not to go with the mermaid.  I think you dodged a bullet because your life would have never been the same.  Sometimes an opportunity presents itself but it's really not an opportunity and it's better to walk away.

No sardines for me, either. I once had a fish tank in my kitchen, some

beautiful tropical ones with fins like fairy wings. Couldn't open a can of salmon while they were living with me.
