The key to an eye-catching headline is to include the word "blog."
If that fails, write something about sex.  We're all giggling adolescents at heart.

just blog!
i too must admit that i am obsessed with watching the rankings...but i have found that even though my ranking may change significantly up or down in a week, its not always related to how often i post AND, the payment made often does not correlate! some of my biggest payments - a whole 30 cents or so in a day, have been when my rankings dropped quite a bit! go figure! all i can say is enjoy the experience and enjoy blogging for what it is!

SassyAss

I was about to say "you checked your rankings on Christmas Day???", then did a quick check and realised I posted on Christmas Day as well, so I probably did the same!

Oh well, just shows how addicted to this site we are.  Well done for making it to the number one spot, even if it was for one day!

Just enjoy yourself

Don't stress about the rankings - too many other people are doing that as well.

I wrote this post about rankings a few months back; might help, might not!

The key to success is...........
....being happy doing what you're doing. If you are,you will be motivated and will produce. And that's reality!

Try a really outrageous headline
or just deal with it. I joined in August, and didn't make the top 10 until December. On Christmas Day, I made #1, and then sunk to #4, to #6, to #10. It has been a real roller coaster ride. As long as I stay in the top 100, I am a happy camper! Just have fun, and fame will come your way.

Jolly,
you have the key already, screw ego, read over what you said to yourself and us. "You are having fun.". Numbers don't mean dick man.

Another good way to get ratings is to start a blogwar with somebody. Some are so unethical that they purposely cut secret deals with others. Then make up some argument that's rediculous. And just to get clicks. Can you believe it? Of course, I personally, would never do anything so dispicable. No matter what anyone else says.

It's not collusion. It's the American mindset, maybe even world. We're a Jerry Springer bunch, not a Robert Frost bunch.

A lot of these people are "in on it" together.  So don't sweat your blog dropping.  It happens to the best of us.  By the way, go read all the poetry above mine and tell me which you like the best.  There is even a poem ranked higher than mine about masterbation.  Hmmm.  Colluding?
