It will take years for small units to re-establish,I expect. The garden Centers must have taken a very bad hit.  Got booked in for a flue injection in October seems a bit weedy.

Re: Goldiec

I agree shop made pies are rather to sweet usually. I expect you can make good pastry. One cannot beat it.

Yes sassy but I did not want the fallen ones to rot under the trees. I must put one in the oven tomorrow. We usually use Bramley seedling but I am trying Lord Darby for a change.

We have several farms nearby that allow consumers to pick apples.

I love baking apples that fill the house with sweet, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and brown sugar smells.

I see plenty of apple dishes in your future, pie, crisp, jelly, and sauce.

Yum!

apples

I love apples!  I've been waiting patiently for apple season to get here.  I love making apple pies.  We don't like the really sweet apple pies that are in the store so I make my own and they turn out so good.  Every year for Roy's birthday he asks for a homemade apple pie.  I always make one for him.  His Birthday is Sept 14, so soon I will be making my first pie of the season.

I think it must be a tough year in the flower and fruit business.

It's apple/peach picking season here in middle America - started a few weeks ago and seems early to me until I look at the calendar and realize it's already September. All the fall festivals here are being cancelled or modified because of the virus. I hope we find a serum to innoculate people very soon so life can get back to normal. Dull, boring normal. Yay!
