And they promote free money gimmicks to trap you even further.
Good for you for having the will to walk away. We are surrounded by casinos, but we go with $40 each every week. We play the penny machine at only .20 to .30 per bet. Win, lose or draw, we leave once the money is gone or we are ahead. Money is too hard to come by to give it to the house that usually wins.

Well done you have made a start. I remember when I was a little boy I was addicted to the fair machines, but of course they only came around three or four times a year so the pain was easier to bear.

How true, it's rigged for the house to win, yet intellectually one may know this but not be able to help oneself. I hope things are better now.
