Once most of the rubbish would rot down over time. The local rubbish dump 50 years ago now supports buildings not houses but for commercial use. The next 50 will be different although recycling is vital .

It breaks my heart. It is impossible to buy everything without plastic involved. Even the farmers markets can have some produce packaged in plastic; and never mind the big stores etc.

Oh my!

Sassy, you are so right!  This is not a pretty sight.  It makes me very sad because this is what we are leaving for our grandchildren. I always recycle and do what I can but this is something most of us have no control over.
