I lived in Cleveland for five years, while I was in college. The city got mocked a lot, but I have a special sense of affection for it. It was the first time in my life I was free to be me. I remember that it rained in every month. Even in winter when it sometimes snowed, it also rained.

I tried growing herbs but I always forgot to water them.

Re: Fairy gardens

Kabu, I'm so happy to hear your fairy gardens live on.  Right now our back yard and patio are filled with plants but soon with the cold weather blowing in everything will change.

We had heavy rain in the night and light rain off and on all day. My fairy gardens live on.

Re: Stick beans

What are stick beans?  I'm not familiar with the term.  We share our garden vegetables with our neighbors too.

I think we are starting to receive the flue jabs. Pity it is not the vaccination but I suppose it will come eventually. It is nice to have a clear patch of ground. We have not had much of a crop of stick beans it was much too hot for them this year. We really rely on the beans and the neighbors will have missed them this year I used to take them round to quite a few freinds. Take care.

Re: I just snipped my basil plant yesterday to the point that it is bald.

Sassy, you made me laugh when you said you snipped your basil bald!  I can just imagine what it looks like now. I think a gazebo would be awesome!  We do need a shed too so I'm not sure what we are going to do yet. Michelle said she wants a she shed and I said I do too!

Sassy, I know you love going to the beach. It sounds like so much fun. I hope you share pictures.

I just snipped my basil plant yesterday to the point that it is bald.

I love my herbs. Mine are planted in pots, but I would love an entire area that is dedicated to them. You could always put in a gazebo in the spot where the play area once sat. That would be a lovely sight to view.

I believe that we may be headed to the beach this weekend.

It has been a while since I have been home. The three day weekend will allow for time with family and my favorite spots like Rehoboth and Port Mahon.
