Well done Pat,  am sure it must be beneficial to exercise as much as possible. I suppose people with stairs get more exercise. I does take will power to keep moving when one finds the weather is too miserable to go out.

Finding ways to get more active

I really enjoy reading your posts.  It reminded me of what I should also be doing.  I do try to move as much as possible because I have all my chores to do but then again I have my emails, keeping up with all my writing friends, paying bills, checking out my twitter account for more of my writing friends and I also have to plan dinner for everyone.  By nightfall I'm so tired I welcome sitting in the chair before bed.  I do make it a point to go to the recycle bin a few times a day.  It's on the side of the house and I always feel like I'm doing something good when I discard my plastics and cans.  Plus I'm moving so I think that's a double plus for me.  Now that I've read your post I have to think of more ways to move.

Smart move. It is easy to sit at the PC for hours on end.

It used to take me several hours to Check my afternoon work schedule, read emails, write blog posts, and market my ebooks. I have been breaking up my computer time as well. I fill the bird feeders, load the dishwasher, plan dinner, throw in a load of clothes, shower, run the vacuum, dust, and check for filled garbage cans. We took regular walks before the COVID came into play. Now that September is here, we will once again take our walks in the cooler weather, time permitting of course.

I just moments ago saw that phrase: "Sitting is the new smoking." I'm also going to try to keep it in mind, as I sit far too much, and get up on my feet more often.
