Past regrets have a way of chilling almost anything, even paper.
Thankfully, your warm words will serve to thaw those frosty days gone by and add warmth to the present with your heartfelt words of love from years of wisdom.

That is a funny thought, and a good one.
I do not like having an abundance of things. Clutter is unsettling to me. I donate quite a bit of stuff each year to our daughters and many relatives. I like your way of thinking by telling them that they can just have it.

Re: Pat
Oncw when was a young lad an Uncle took me walking. He knew most of the plants that were edible and when one thinks about it I expect it was an early food source .

Re: Corbin
There are still Boot sales Corbin .Archie my associate took twenty bunches of flowers he sold then within one hour because the weather was cool. They had over 200 cars it just shows how bored folk are. There is not much sale for old stuff like there once was,but new enterprises such as selling walking sticks carved while one walks around.

Your poem reminds me of common things
once toaken for granted and now seem forgotten. We had a plant growing in the woods near my old home - a friend told me it was edible, and I tried it - a kind of lemony flavor. I believe he said it was sheep sorrel. There were wild strawberries, too.

Here, it suffices to set things by the curb with a sign that says "FREE" though, of course, some things no one at all wants.
The most distant memories can be triggered by scents not sniffed in years...
