When scars, pain, hurt, love melt into words it's poetry I think...and from personal experience I can say when you honestly pour your heart out it lessens the burden & touches other hearts as well.

Re: Thank you so much Sea_Gypsy for your kind words and sage advice.

As an adult woman I now view it as one of life's lessons. Putting it on paper was one of the hardest things that I have ever done, but it really helped. I also have a great support team.

The heart stores so much love and tension inside of itself.

 The hurt has been released.

sassy - This is beautifully written through it's pain & raw honesty, dear!

That's what poetry is - to me, though I am NOT a poet(ess) and never will be, and will probably write no more!

Honesty seeds poetry. This must have been so painful for you that you wrote in the third person. You know that you are not a victim; that you are a survivor, and you have no shame to bear. Never did. The shame is on the perp(s). The child-you is and was as innocent and unspoiled as the day you were born. I'm so sorry that someone put you through a Hell, but so proud that you overcame whatever it was.

Re: Yeah, I know. Thank you Annicita.

Thankfully, children are resilient. What hasn't killed me has made me stronger.

Maybe after all you and I are poets for this is stark and real and makes me both angry and wanting to hug you.

I used to believe that I had a normal childhood but life has taught me that I had a priveledged child hood and that is wrong. Every child deserves a happy, healthy and Safe childhood. Holding you in my arms.
