Thank you. I hope they stay away also! Yes, the rolling blackouts are scheduled, except when they are unscheduled! In other words, there is a map showing scheduled outages, but then there is a map showing unscheduled outages. Fingers crossed.

Re: Sea Gypsy,
I hope the fires stay well away from your house! Are the rolling blackouts on a schedule so you can be ready for them?

Re: Re: Re: Pat,
I don't think I could live there even with it--I really don't like humidity! But I do like the thunderstorms, within reason.

It's been hot here with fires and rolling blackouts, but not bad right here in the house.

Re: Re: Pat,
Ciel, I do have A/C. Couldn't live in this area without it. We get humidity from the south, the Gulf of Mexico sends tropical atmosphere, plus which in summer the cornfields produce a lot of moisture, even storm clouds at times.

I am getting rain often enough so that I am not having to water the garden. That makes me happy. I refuse to even consider Fall untill September comes around. Trees here have that rich green which I fill my eyes with because it menas mature leaves that will turn with the first frost.

Re: Pat,
Wow, that would wash away what we laughingly call our front yard! Do you have a/c in your house to help with the heat and humidity?

We've been dealing with nearly a week of torrential downpours, daily
rain totals above 2" and up to 5-1/2" in nearby towns, flash floods - alternating with spells of sweltering heat and high humidity. Better than forest fires, but today's blue skies and only 80-some degrees makes it a vast improvement. Grass grows so quickly you can almost see it - but getting in some mower time is chancy.
