I looked at that diet, but it seems to concentrate on meat based protein.

I may have to look into this diet. I too am vertically challenged. it's the legs that are my let down. I have duck legs. LOL.

I'm 5'4", and have hip and back issues that make walking problematic. It's a sad thing, not being able to walk long or even a little far.

Under-tall. That is cute reference.
My girls accuse that I hold my weight weel because I am 5'9" tall. Regardless, I have yet to eliminate that extra belly fat that make's my jeans, shorts and skirts a bit snug. I have tried every diet from protein to good carbs. I find that when I walk at least four days per week I am at my personal best.
