It's all about numbers.....where would America be if we didn't focus on expansion. What would the Indians have done with it by themselves?
As to the tribe claiming it was their property.....they had no trouble opening up their gambling casinos and that certainly wasn t chump change!

My thoughts have always been that White man put yet another tacky stamp on First Nation Property which was not a" go" at USA politics, It was a frustration of how we the ignorant and arrogant, happily debased areas that were sacred to people in lands everywhere before we arrived. Yes Australia is no better than anywhere else. New Zealand, The Maori people fought back.
