I’d never heard of that. I think I have eaten it though. I hate to say it but the sugary cobbler is better To me. Thank you for the name.

We always laughed at the name of it, but my four boys and hubby loved blueberry grunt with a scoop of icecream so we had it often. Back then fresh blueberries weren't so easy to come by all year long so often I used canned blueberry pie filling to make it. So easy to make with that. They always laughed about the name though.

Being a military family, the word "grunt" has a different meaning for me.
My dad served during the Vietnam War when the term first started circulating. It was used to refer to a low ranking infantryman. Thank you for updating me on how the word grunt is used in another form. I love learning new things.
