Well Taps when my sister-in-law, first used her walking stick on a visit to the surgery. A lady waiting there said 'You've got the stick, then.' It was a friendly greeting. Good luck , I am sure you will find it beneficial

That is great news! I am happy to hear that you found what you needed.
Researching it was smart. Good for you in finding an answer. The internet can be an amazing place when we need it.

Re: TAPS - You go, girl!
I just tuck it under my arm there as I always religiously use the hand rail up and down stairs.

Re: I love the way your first try worked out.
I'm sure my inner ear is involved. My hearing is fine but, I've always had trouble with my inner ears from a child. Motion sickness plagued me as long as I can remember. Lots of ear infections back when antibiotics were unknown. Swimmers ear in the summer. So everything has probably come full circle.

I love the way your first try worked out.
I got to thinking about your equilibrium situation & just wondering if you've had your hearing checked. Inner ear is where the balancing act is directed, and I've noticed some days I'm more upright when I remember to wear my "hear plugs."

TAPS - You go, girl!
Congratulations on your research, indoor practice and outdoor trial run (I mean, walk) with the walking stick. How pretty everything sounds that you saw!It does seem like a very good idea and better than a cane, which I have found wobbly when I have needed one. How was it going up the stairs with the walking stick?
