I didn't know the first Ferris Wheel came from wanting to outdo the Eiffel Tower. I would have thought it was just something to outdo the biggest ride at the time.

I always liked riding a Ferris Wheel. Anything that went around the other way (sideways) always made me very nauseus. I even got sick on the Merry-Go-Round.
