I never watched cartoons as a child because we did not have a tv anywhere in the house. My Dad refused us that because he wanted us to read, to be creative, to do our homework, etc. But, I did watch all those cartoons you mentioned with my own children and I thought they were great. They did not encourage my sons to do such things to each other. What I did not encourage them to watch and never did like was The Three Stooges always being physically harmful to each other. I thought that was awful.
