I live in a desert state in India. A swimming pool is a luxury here. All we have is a sea of sand all around and sparsely populated trees.

We used to want a pool and then we considered the maintenance cost.
They are certainly not cheap to own. Luckily we have plenty of lakes, rivers and public pools in our area. What I miss having is the beach at my backdoor.

If you pour one quart of motor oil in the pool it will form a layer that will prevent the evaporation of the water......
And your skin will have a sheen to it...
