The remaining one is preening and poking at the nest, my guess it is enjoying having the space to itself... and maybe there are a few stalling tactics going on.
Julie (sister) and I were agreeing how much better it is to host young doves than, say, blue jays!

I am very in awe of anyone who can roller skate at any age. Have tried it
a time or two when my balance was better and flexibility was no problem. I hope she has a great time.

The parents do the housekeeping, I stay out of the way. They will show up with new twigs, poke them in until they feel they've done enough, and celebrate with dovely shenanigans.
