I have written several stories here on my blog. I also have some journals that I kept off and on the past 10 years. There's some real eye opening entries in there for some of them. Better they read them after I am dead.

I started to write for my Grandchildren a few weeks ago then felt too unwell to care. Now it looks like lock down for another month so time to kick me in the pants and get writing.

Good thinking Pat. Sadly some families are hardly aware of the family tree.

It seems amazing but I suppose in our days we were told tales of our forebears.

I had an Aunt in USA.  She was delighted to hear of the families history. I must admit that I learned unsavory facts from locals who probably kept quite about their own history. Sorry I missed you yesterday.

Yes!  for the value of remembering, just for your own self, too! It is good to remember who you were before you made all the choices that got you here, now.
