I just can't drink any form of tea.. hot or iced. I guess it was a result of watching the Walt Disney TV shows every Sunday...In the mid fifties the hot TV show Was WALT DISNEY....
Most of the shows were about the "War of American Freedom". And many of the shows were about dumping tea in the Boston Harbor.
Okay, I'm crazy...but no tea for me! Walt Disney could not have been wrong!

Re: Sea gypsy
Yes S.G it was not a pleasant job usually soaked with paraffin especially on windy days. Of course there was no electricity in the villages and we usually worked until
8pm. I hated having to tie the empty paraffin cans on the top of the old van when it was frosty. It is an old cemetery, I don't think they know where else to go.

Re: FS
I think one has to be born to it FS. To me most coffee tastes the same as tea.

I do prefer just milk . Of course in the old days it was mostly stewed and quite raking.

Being English, I never turn down a good cup of hot tea.
I really enjoy the Celestial tea brand. They offer a large variety of spiced blends.

Winter has a firm grip on us all, it seems...I myself have never been a tea drinker. I never liked the taste of it.

Love the poem and don't let anyone tell you what you must do. You are too precious to your friends here to over do it.

What vivid imagery and keen picture of days gone by. The art of tea-drinking in those times and under those conditions is so interesting to learn. How cold it must have been though!
Yes, rain would be nice to water all of the flowers. I can't imagine walking in a cemetery for one's health!
That's certainly innovative in these times.
