I don't think you read my whole comment. I was talking about the writer at the Irish Times, not Ireland. There are many people I respect who also believe as you do that China's actions led to the situation we're in with this virus. I simply don't know at this point whether they're to blame, or if there was any way to prevent this virus from doing its thing. I hope we'll get more solid information. Stay safe.

I did not am to imply that China was trying to influence Ireland. I do firmly believe that everything that has happened has been because of China's actions.

Times writer to publish his article about the USA being an object of pity because of the failure of our executive branch. Sometimes, even if some conspiracy theory has a basis in fact, such opinions rise up independently.
As far as can be deduced from the sequence of events, Covid19 did begin in geographic China, but it doesn't seem we can prove with reasonable certainty its spread was intentional or, based on what we knew at the time, if it was preventable.

I think that creating bio-weapons is the analogy that was used for 'WE WILL TAKE THEM WITHOUT EVER FIRING A SHOT'. Bio-weapons,,,,, divide and destroy,, United,, we stand,,, that's too my way of thinking about this.

I know that Pat...I just know that Ireland doesn't have a dog in that fight!. Our enemy is China...and you can be sure that this virus isn't the only one they have and we need to be prepared for the next version they release.
Ask yourself why do they need to create these bioweapons? Because regular weapons destroy everything. The bioweapons eliminate us leaving everything standing. I even believe that they create the cures for these weapons as they create them.

As you know, I didn't have to go to Ireland - only to my FB timeline where someone had copied the article from the "Irish Times." I think it's useful to read other perspectives on what's going on - whether or not I agree with their premise or believe their statements have been well thought out. I search for logical, fact-based news stories and information that can help me understand a given situation. I try to avoid the partisan rabble-rousers who play the ain't it awful card to stir reactions rather than thought. Be well.
