Re: FS

Yes some trees seem to go on forever, but  I suppose your grandmother's trees may have been very old.

Hopefully, it'll be a great apple harvest season. At my house, there used to be an apple and pear tree when my grandmother had it. They tasted so good. Sadly, both trees died.

Having a drink sounds like a great idea.

Re: We had a yard full of apple trees when I was a kid.

Apple trees used to be along the hedges, but I suppose most hedges are flail cut now and do not discriminate. This is a good cooking apple or roasting, one has to be careful things creep out of a pen.

I've switched from ink to pencil, thankful for the eraser. I can almost see your twin darlings...

Years upon years ago, we moved to a place that had a dicouraged Italian prune tree. I pounded some fertilizer stakes in around it, and the next season... Holy Moly, did  we have prunes!

A pretty tree. Do hope the apples are good. It seems early for apples. And as always, I enjoyed the clever poem. Very creative.

We had a yard full of apple trees when I was a kid.

Hopefully it produces a bounty for you.
