Singapore has some incredibly intelligent social policies in place, reinforced by a paternalistic government--that also makes sure the city stays clean. I'd go back there, if the occasion arose.

I have stayed in Singapore so many times. It was a great stop over on the way to Greece and i still have friends there. First time I visited Singapore was in 1962. it was a fetid stinking hell hole. The British had pulled out and left it a disgrace, we felt ashamed. Over the years it became a fabulous City State, wealthy well educated with a health system to be envied.
