It was a killer, surprisingly not many have heard of it. Perhaps when the first WW was over the way news traveled was slow. Even in my memory a storm that hit
a village by the sea passed on to several more because there were hardly any telephones. Some lads who worked with my brother were sent to help restore or
patch up the devastator zones. At that time I had a 5 minute walk to the telephone kiosk. It just seems strange today somehow.
