Re: Re: Re: Perhaps he does.

75 is such a young age by today's standards.

It's great to read of Norbert being able to make something of himself after such a horrible ordeal. I can't imagine it being easy to move forward after something like the Holocaust.

I’m glad he was able to live and become such an asset to our society. Nice story.

Re: Re: Interesting story. We have a Jewish neighborhood in Squirrel Hill

Perhaps Walter lives there now.  The parents were long gone and Walter would have inherited everything as he has (had) no siblings.  If he is still living he would be 75 now.

This reminds me that once I had a brother-in-law who was born in Dachau not long before the end of the war.  He along with his mother and father ended up in Pennsylvania.  My baby sister went off to college right after she graduated from high school and met him at college.  He was quite a bit older than her.  His mother did not like Sis at all because she was not Jewish and Sis did not like her and hated living with them for a time.  Before too many moons they were divorced.  I only met Walter (pronounced with a "V") once and sometimes I forget all about him.
