But you DID think if it; that’s why you wrote it. You just didn’t know that on a conscious level, perhaps. I had a feeling you meant something else, but the words read as I suggested.

Aba Brother

Ah, this work is done so beautifully. A most well thought-out poem and one with a message. A beautiful metaphor to me, is it? "Why did I not keep myself open to all?" In these turbulent and uncertain times we are often so weary we fail to come to the aid of those in need, not hearing their call, seeing too late what aid we might have rendered. At least that's how it reads to me. A very elevated poem. Thank you.
