We have freeze-dried strawberries, then pounded them into dust which makes a nice flavoring for other things in the kitchen!

Our weather has been moderate for this April...I have a feeling more drinks are going to come.

I love Strawberries....But I don't like things that have the  Flavor of Strawberries.  Like Strawberry candy, or soda pop.

Re: There is nothing quite like fresh straberries in the summer.

Might be a good plan to grow as much as you can this year.

Re: Yay for your strawberries.

I used to grow Strawberries for sale to a greengrocery deliverer. Thankfully the ground was soft to kneel on or I would be crippled now. Thank you.

Re:

The trouble for us is we are on an old stone quarry of course that was years ago,but the ground does drain much quicker. Opposite is meadow land built on of course,it holds the moisture much longer.

Re: anib

I suppose human memory does not extend too far back, but it does look like Global warming is taking effect. I suppose different fruits need a different climate to be really worth growing.

Re:

Yes SG it is rather unsusal but when one thinks that the Romans grew grapes here.

A contrast to when the Thames used to freeze over. It was much colder here when I was young.

I’m surprised that it is so warm there right now. That’s amazing. I do enjoy your poetry. It’s so light and pleasant. Thank you.

Wish we could grow some strawberries out here. The weather is too hot and dry, although a few days back we’ve had the longest spell of cold in ages In 2019-20

Yay for your strawberries.

I used to have them in my yard, but I could never beat the squirrels to them, so gave up. Nice to think about a stroll, perhaps a stop at a friendly bar for a chat and a drink. Thank you for the verses.  Be well.

There is nothing quite like fresh straberries in the summer.

I thought about planting some, but our yard is already brimming with home grown produce. I always look forward to our big beefsteak tomatoes sliced on a piece of toast with Hellman's mayonnaise
