Whoops...you have some work cut out for you.
A book with 50 k words had to have taken plenty of thought and creativity. Adding and rewriting will only make it better since we seem to grow as writers through time, error, and eventually, the finished product. You are a good writer, so I have to say, "you've got this!" Good luck.
