It is sad a lot of small businesses will fold and it takes grit to start again.

My dad just lost his job. he is 62, not a great age for starting over. I pray that our economy booms after all is said and done.

Yes!
After many weeks of social-distancing, I am looking forward to a day with our two grandchildren. Easter is such a pleasant day for worship, food, and festivities. I refuse to allow this pandemic to ruin that one bright spot.

I'm certain that anyone receiving anything will appreciate the assistance.

Yes...we need to give the world a hug in anyway and every way we can. I'll be singing that all day now that you have brought it to my mind.

I've never had to let anyone go. Having spoken to my dad, I know it's tough to let people go during downtimes.

I certainly would rather avoid the news, but cannot help but turn it on and sit there taking it all in.

And, you are certainly a good writer. I feel better after reading your uplifting comment, and always your poetry.

They are setting up a system for people to receive payments resembling the unemployment compensations...

Sometimes I think this is a Twilight Zone dream and we'll wake up soon.
It's beyond sad that people have to fire or lay off others. I know how it is to be unable to go to my volunteer job at The Main Street center, and that was only Tuesday mornings. Exponentially worse for those who lose purpose and paycheck and nothing to look forward to. I'm thinking of that old Coke theme "I'd like to give the world a hug and..."

It is a grim reality. Hopefully he will recover and hire them back later.
I always fear turning on the news each morning due to the number of cases doubling in our state. Unemployment is out of control and those stimulus checks will barely make a dent. All we can do is take one day at a time and pray for the best.

Your son had a very difficult week and I'm sure it was painful for him, as well as for his employees. He must have done a wonderful job today and though it was a different Palm Sunday than usual, it was still observed. And Easter will be observed also to the best of everyone's ability who chooses to do so. He will lead his congregation, and his mom will be there with him electronically, and in spirit. Easter's meaning may be more tangible, more salient, to some this year. A good mom, you are.
