- Go to Our Very Own Fountain Of Youth Was Rumored To Heal & Give Good Luck
Re: I thought so too.
We took a drive to it yesterday and snapped some photos of the interior and the grounds. Back in its day, this was a very pretty area.

That's really cool. Too bad that it is no longer in use.

Pa. sure knows how to copy every other attraction in the remaining 49 states. Do you have a Churchill Downs race track, too?

Years ago when I was a teen (1950s) Kansas City had a natural fountain at the Cliff Drive bluffs overlooking the Missouri River bottoms. It was supposed to be a "fountain of youth" and I drank from it often as my then boyfriend, later husband, liked driving his car around the curves at high speed at night and such. At about my son's teenage years, the city found the fountain not fit to drink, tore out the drinking fountain and changed it to a modern fountain (no drinking). Now it looks like this:
Location: Kessler Park, 4164 Cliff Drive, Kansas City, MO
