Somehow I must have gotten my weather messages mixed up. Woke to thick gray clouds and rain soaking the city. Looks like it is set in for the whole day or more. No walking around outside for me. Back to a good book.

I like it when the birds return and we can hear them singing when we open
the door. This past week my groundhog has begun venturing out from under the back deck again - I've spotted him several times foraging and nibbling the greening grass.
