Re: Corbin
Ask Kabu, I think it is a rather fat type grub. I have seen folk chew them on the tele.

Well you would not remember it was used in bycycle lamps . I don't know how the kids got hold of it. Probably their Dad had a supply.

Re: Kabu
I expect you could knock a few witchery grubs back still. Yes we must have built up a good immunity I don't know if kids will towards car fumes.

Re: Pat
No it all seems a bit complacent, perhaps it is because we older ones are more likely to endure more discomfort. Talking about weather that's really scary, it is a job to move or sell ones property if disaster has been apparent.

Re: Sea Gypsy
Yes perhaps it was a bit elusive. Not very pleasant on cold days. I hope you feel a little better.

You will laugh because at the first sentence I thought you were referring to washing pots and pabd - doing the dishes. Then I read on... it’s nice to hear the way people lived crack in the day. Thank you.,

I'm with you in wishing this virus disappears quickly - as in
yesterday. I'm not feeling very confident about the way it's being handled by our so-called leaders.
My granddaughter's apt. building in Nashville, Tennessee was right in the hard hit area by tornadoes overnight - but we got word she's ok, although her building is without power and don't know when it will be back on. Grateful for that much.

I just love your reminiscing. The boys used to get the cane but not we girls. i think once i had to hold out my hand and get a tap across the palm. Funny how we played in and amongst nature but never got sick and being an australian country kid at school, yes I ate my witchetty grub once or twice.
