It seems like with mild temperatures, everything is happening faster with the gardens...You have a way of writing about love.

Pipe dreams are a great part of life.  They really do keep one going some time when things are uncomfortable or lonely.  I really like your little cottage and sitting in the sunshine pipe dream.

What would you do in your little cottage away from your established gardens? I imagine you would start another garden, but something just for you, and not in the least commercial.

I bought a hyacinth that is just beginning to bloom yesterday. You have shared a beautiful poem with us.

Too early for bulbs to sprout - and the ground's too cold here for

the ode to joy to bring the greening. But the weather maven says February will be warmer than usual, so who knows, the groundhog's prediction of six more weeks of winter may not be right this year. (It's supposed to be sunny on groundhog day, Feb. 2.)

My flowers are confused too. I had blooms along my hedges. It will be in the upper 50s here next week, but it should be in the 30s.

No bulbs it is only February tomorrow; not spring. You have a lovely place where you live. Just don't get involved anymore in the garden . Sit in the sun and dream dreams as we who get older too. I doubt if I will live as long as you.
