Re: Kabu

I think it was more extreme the Romans grew grapes here and yet at times the Thames held annual fairs on the ice. Now if you want to know about poaching deer.

Re: Lots of rain here last week, flash flood warnings. And now this week

Sad really Pat all the rain and some countries are parched. Yes Pat some little boys are quite nice, I don't know the percentage that retain that kind of character.

Re: sassyass 64

Funny thing on the television. Yesterday it showed that we had a cold Winter ten years ago they just seem to come every ten years or so. Once it was different the Thames froze over and it was custom to hold fairs in winter on the ice.

Overall, we've had a mild winter as well. The snow lovers are incredibly disappointed...Ah, yes, young love.

It's a fact that people say many of the same things they said hundreds of years ago.

I liked your poem, especially the part about the kicking. It was realistic.

Global warming is obvious here too. We have plants blooming that are nowhere near ready. We should have had snow by now, but that too is missing from our weather report. This poor world is all mixed up.

Lots of rain here last week, flash flood warnings. And now this week

the Arctic cold has swept down from Alaska and Canada and we are shivering in our boots, all water - garden ponds and puddles in the street - has frozen over. What a sweet little gentleman in your poem - at five years old he could teach us a thing or two about sharing...

I think that the temperatures were warmer and wtter in England in the centuries 1000 and 1100 or something like that. How would I know, I wasn't there LOL. but probably some ancestor was.
