Well you do appear to have a stack of knowledge. I once saw a young lad walking in a ditch along a hedgerow. He was looking for snails. He did grow into a young man.

You keep reminding me of knowledge I've forgotten,
like sprinkling salt around the tomato plants to keep snails away - back in the day when we used ordinary means to control bugs and didn't mess with Roundup and it's cancer-inducing permanence. Thank you for the poem. I'm going back to read it again.
