Yes I really felt the boy's feeling as you explained the way.
I wonder if the boy would have been so taken by these events if he had been subjected to the presence of modern entertainment.

you brought back memories for me, standing on a steep bank of a lake in Switzerland many years ago. I looked out across the pece and quiet with the small town the msnow capped mountains....it was , for me, a place to find my God.

Aba, dear brother...
How enjoyable to read your post! There is a an Irish song, “Be Still.” This reminds me of that song. The boy hears more in silence, as he becomes one with nature. But he already was a part of nature. It was through his stillness that his awareness became more keen. Thank you once again. A peaceful write.
