having raised sons and helped with grandsons....I am with you dear Pat. Wh woulda thought. all precautions were in place...sometimes S%$# happens despite all the warnings that one tries to make a kid aware of.

Ignorance is as dangerous as stupidity, and combined, anything can happen! As a long-ago kid, and as a parent, I believe in luck or blessings, in psychic or angelic interventions, that have kept me and mine off the Darwin Awards lists.

Yes it does seem a silly thing to do,but I guess we all have to think back and maybe remember our own little scary mistakes.

YES on the last sentence!! My boys did crazy, dangerous things when kids, and many of them I only heard about when they became adults. Damn - I did some wild dangerous things as a kid. It happens. But if Georgie was my kid, he's be getting some scolding now!!
