Oh, how I agree with you on this one. Do I EVER agree with you here. My in-laws were like this to some extent - gifts were never truly gifts, they were either sacrifices or tributes. Christmas was merely an excuse to demand taxation or tribute, and the "gifts" they wanted were never gifts. This really ruined Christmas for me. Big time.
