The stores have to work harder each year, there is a limit to what folk can spend.

I have to admit that I have never once been to a Black Friday shopping event, but a group of us were just talking about this and stores no longer being available. We miss going to the mall and seeing the lights, Santa, and all of the holiday embellishments. All of the stores are closing, so it is an online competitive shopping nightmare.

For me, "Yesterday" was definitely only yesterday. 1959: I can "see" my mother-in-law insisting that it is her turn for us to come to Thanksgiving at her house. She insists that last year we went to my Mother's house......and I just hate the way my M-I-L cooks. It makes me want to cry to think of my mom and dad and all my sisters and their husbands and kids eating, and laughing, and loving, and having fun at Mom & dad's while Bob & I are having a horrible time with my M-I-L gloating and forcing her horrible food on us.

It's amazing just how fast life unfolds...I see a lot of those ads on TV during The Price Is Right. I want my dad to get a life alert because of his knee surgery, but he won't do it.
