I very seldom go out at night anymore even though this place is well lit and patrolled. It is not from fear, just no need to do so. Across the road though, the wooded area is a spooky place at night with bright eyes that glow out of the dark, owls hooting and other scritching, scratching sounds that seem as though they ought not to be.

Perhaps it is not wise to venture out after dark. One can soon imagine something waiting
to pounce. It is the old Sabre tooth tiger which we need not fear, but once lives depended on being aware.
