SOME of the old ways were better, some I wouldn't want to be obliged to endure again. We have lots going for us in the present, much easier. Unfortunately we seem to abuse it often. I had one of those perculators!! Love the sound and the smell when making coffee in those.

As with most things in life..."Older is Better!"
I bought a little 5 cup one from Amazon...the plastic lid was warped and would not close properly. so a lot of steam escapes. But with Amazon, they take back anything and you don't pay for the postage.

It strikes me that as the generations progress, the good old days are easier for the youngest generation.

Well done Taps and it probably makes it more enjoyable knowing the old ways still work.

Things were built to last in those days. Nowadays most products are obsolete before on the market!
