Yes RP the gypsies were not to bad it was the Lino folk who came down from London that we had to be aware of. Funny how I just thought of that after all those years.

Your mother was kind to give water to the Gypsies. How interesting to learn of that time. Your poem was a delight and it’s so true that some judge others by their attire. Cute about the lottery.

Well, it's good he didn't mention the lottery, because this way he
knows exactly how she really felt. If he'd mentioned the lottery, there'd always be that question... But he might have bought trendier clothes. A woman notices how well dressed a new friend is. I have to laugh about the bear! OMG, what fun.
