i don't believe in the death penalty. How much worse to be housed in a hole for the rest of your life. No contact with the outside world at all. adequate swage and 3 meals a day with fresh water, lowered on a tray and retrieved. If something like tiny bit of plastic doesn't come back have the hole searched . No comforts, now that to me seems like punishment.

Death Penalty
Religios standards vary around the world....punishment should fit the crime...you intentionally kill someone, then the death pernalty is appropriate....better than feeding and housing and guarding for life...and the survivors get their due rest!

I suppose no matter what one thinks there is sure to be a logical opposite reason.
