Many have wondered what happiness is...No is the worst one-word to hear...History does have a way of repeating itself, I have found. No matter how technology changes, there are some things that are just going to happen.

I remember the first VE day as celebrated in the US.

I was so worried about people in Britain - especially London - during the war. It was always on the newsreels played at our movie matinees on Saturdays, and it was scary to us thousands of miles away because of those in our family who were over there. Your words bring so much to mind.  Peace!

Fantastic! Just so great! I loved it. (And also the first poem.) I can just imagine the fear that it wasn’t really over (the war) and the relief and disbelief!

The true poet, even the most simple thoughts you turn into something beautiful to read.
