very well written and though I may not have time to read everyone, I have been reading your rewrite.
My days are sort of confused at present. When I am with Wiley I think of so much to do, especially in the garden yet when I am away from him I want to rush back.

Re: TAPS
Seems to me you're more right than most, most of the time. Love what you did with the critter photos... LOL

I sure haven't been doing anything in the way of writing. My back has been giving me some trouble if I sit at my computer very long, so I have gone back to reading books in my comfortable recliner. I've been feeling like the Aye-Aye is coming to get me:

Correction. Second paragraph should read: "If one feels one's posts are too long, one might consider breaking them up into shorter posts."

Pat - Thank you immensely for this post.
As you said, short posts are welcome because our attention spans are perhaps not shorter these days, but our brains have to assimilate so much more content so much more quickly, reading much more info in the same amount of allotted time.
If you feel your posts are too long, you might consider breaking them up into shorter parts. People should be able to recall the continuity, and if not, can always refer to the previous post. I love your story and your skills well-honed. I myself need to try to cut posts into shorter versions. Things happen each day and most of us are simply interested in the little things, I think. Thank you. Please continue.

Re: CCT
Thank you, CCT - you're right about the benefits of revisiting older work. I like to think I'm just a little bit better at the craft (writing) than I was ten years ago because I've had more practice (and some great feedback).

You are right Pat, stories do not get much response on here . I have only been here for ten years but in those early days folk did seem to follow a story. The only good thing is it is nice to review older work and improve on the layout. I do it quite often it keeps the gray matter working. Also I quite enjoyed your apparent researched material. A pity you have not got a wall and a neighbor we all still love a bit of gossip.
