Sounds like you'd do very well with your animal companions since you find solace in solitude. Having a good wifi connection... that would probably provide enough communication with people.
Wait... what you describe is pretty much where I'm at already, but with occasional eating out. And I have a couple of parakeets, half a dozen well-growed goldfish, and a 19 yr old cat who is allergic to her teeth. Ironically, she now has only her canine teeth and meds keep her well: When I adopted her a couple of years ago, she was scrawny and testy, but now she eats well, and cuddles well, and misses me when I travel, so she would have to go to the island with me, for sure!
