Mosquitoes
How big do they get? I haven't encountered mosquitoes since I was in my 20's. Had them a lot growing up. Have lived in three other towns since 30 & I'm not sure why there haven't been any around.

Alaska has always fascinated me, perhaps because of the immensity, the mountains, the wildlife, and the Northern Lights.
Hawaii... I've heard it is very humid. I've been in tropical humidity... not my favorite thing!

I would go to Hawaii, but if Alaska is more your thing, I say go for it. I've heard the Alaskan cruises are beautiful.

I had an Alaska group stay in a lodge on top on a mountain where you could see seven glaciers, ergo the name "Seven Glaciers Lodge. You could only get to it on a 3 mile cable car ride.

I would move to Alaska in a heartbeat....I've taken groups up there 8 times, (two-week trips) once in December for the Alaska Shootout, a college basketball tourney. For me, the most negative thing was the giant mosquitoes.

Oh, what a difficult question. SO many beautiful places. Like you, I don't like to be too hot or too cold. But I favor warmth. And A/C. I'm surprising myself, but probably Alaska, since I haven't ever seen galciers.
