The people that tried to create such laws had no concept of how much a dog will love you....

I am sooooo happy to read this! I notice that more and more municipalities are getting rid of the ridiculous BSL law and it's way overdue! I'm also grateful to see how many laws are being passed against cruelty to animals, something else way overdue.

.Well I was once attacked by six Pekinese's dogs. they were intent on killing my shoes.
fortunately there was a door and I shut it after a scuffle. Not fair they barked as they tried to push the door open/

I don't have a dog either at this stage of life. I'm afraid I'll trip over
a small pet and end up on the floor unable to get up. But I can remember enjoying mutts and what we now call rescue dogs, and my kids were always good to their pets. I don't know if pit bulls are more aggressive than others, but Judge Judy doesn't like them even a little bit.

I'm glad to know this! Of all breeds that are actually breeds, I've heard that the one statistically most likely to bite is the standard poodle. Maybe they resent the haircut.
