Re: Corbin
Would have been peat based with soil I think Corbin. Suppose not to use peat but it keeps being marketed with other dubious concoctions , bits of wood and rubbish. We usually use a peat compost and mix it with turf that has been heaped up over winter.

Re: Pat
Once the weavers used to grow these they had small gardens and took great pride in their Auriculars.
Of course the coat of bloom had to be protected, it has a special name,
I just cannot think of it at the moment. The weather seems cockeyed at the moment.

Oh....these flowers are precious. I just love them.
Everything is soggy, soggy out here, and muddy, muddy. I'll be staying in today and doing inside things that make me happy. I was out and around yesterday and that was enough for me for a bit.

Pretty little flower - I remember mother raising them in pots long ago.
Ironic that England is having no rain for 3 weeks, while here the warmups and spring storms have brought all the Midwest rivers to flood stage. Millions of acres under water because of snow melt in the sudden warmup, complicated by heavy rains, occasional tornadoes, hailstorms...

It's early in the year for there to be a lack of rain...History has forgotten many a soul.

In spite of record-breaking rain, we had to water today.
I enjoyed your poem, the last line especially. It's quite true, espcially in World History.
